Lynn’s farming experience began in the Napa Valley while growing up on her family’s cattle ranch in Oakville. Here she learned the meaning of hard work and devotion to the land. After 84 years in cattle, the ranch transitioned to grapes. Watching her grandfather disc the ground, Lynn discovered the sweet smell of virgin soil—soil that had never before been turned. She learned about the importance of selecting the perfect rootstock and clone to match the environment and soil. Lynn saw first hand the abrupt change from cattle to vines and how the rippling affect touched everything and everyone in that small ecosystem. She learned at a young age, everything is connected.
